Someone once said to me, “God does not take bribes.”

As in, you cannot pay God enough to do stuff for you. You cannot send Him as your hitman. He sees all, and He decides the times and seasons, and there is nothing you can do to be in charge of it. In fact, someone else said that “If you are able to command God to do things, we can start calling you God instead.” Many times, these lines come back to me, in a moment of uncertainty.
